THE SKATEBOARDER' S JOURNAL #12 - COVER

Probably our most hated-on cover.

"FANOUT" ILLUSTRATION FOR THE SKATEBOARDER'S JOURNAL #12

This was for an article about the 1989 Ramp Riot in Prahran, Melbourne. All of the biggest names of the time were on tour around the country, guys like Christian Hosoi, Tony Hawk, Jason Jessee, Mike McGill and Lee Ralph came to town to a true rock star reception. Kids just lost their shit in true 80s fashion, and some lives were changed forever.

I hadn't used acrylic paints in a while - I so much had fun on this I decided to use acrylics for the article about the Ramp Riot tour.
